What is LENA Grow?

LENA Grow is a professional development program that helps teachers support your child’s learning.
LENA Grow helps teachers increase early talk and interactions — two of the most important things for a child’s brain development. This helps your child:
- Learn more words
- Understand and manage feelings
- Improve behavior
- Get ready for kindergarten
My children went from speaking one-word sentences to carrying full conversations with their parents, teachers, and friends.
How does LENA Grow work?
With LENA Grow, your child’s teachers get the tools, strategies, and support they need to create an even more engaging language environment for your child.
Once a week, children wear a small, safe device that captures classroom interactions.
Automated software counts how many words and conversations happen.
Teachers use this information to help improve learning for your child.
It gave me tools that helped me grow as an educator. I became more cognizant of what I was saying and the impact that my interactions had on my children's vocabulary.
Is LENA safe? Yes!
Has been used globally by over 100,000 children for 20+ years, including in Neonatal Intensive Care Units.
Meets all safety rules for electronics and children. Does not use Bluetooth or transmit and receive signals.
Cannot play back. No one can hear what was said or how it was said. LENA technology does not understand the meaning of words.
Audio is automatically and permanently deleted. It is never saved.
